"This monograph makes an outstanding contribution to several types of literature: sociology of religion, HIV/AIDS, sexuality, and perhaps even gender studies. ... The reader is able to see beyond the diagnosis of HIV/AIDS and observe it as a social phenomenon with broader implications." J. Michael Cruz, in his review published in the Journal of Church and State, 2003, Volume 45 (3): 615-616.
